But better than either of them is the one who has not yet existed,  who has not seen the evil activity that is done under the sun.


Samaria  will bear her guilt because she has rebelled against her God. They will fall by the sword; their children will be dashed to pieces, and their pregnant women ripped open.


Woe to pregnant women and nursing mothers in those days!


As he was saying these things, a woman from the crowd  raised her voice and said to him, ‘Blessed is the womb that bore you and the breasts that fed you! ’


But turning to them, Jesus said, ‘Daughters of Jerusalem,   do not weep for me, but weep for yourselves and your children.
