Idle hands make one poor, but diligent hands bring riches.


The slacker craves, yet has nothing, but the diligent is fully satisfied.


A slacker’s way is like a thorny hedge, but the path of the upright is a raised road.


Whatever your hands find to do, do with all your strength,  because there is no work, planning, knowledge, or wisdom  in Sheol where you are going.


On that day it will be said to Jerusalem: ‘Do not fear; Zion, do not let your hands grow weak.


Then at about five   he went and found others standing around   and said to them, “Why have you been standing here all day doing nothing? ”


Don’t work for the food that perishes   but for the food that lasts for eternal life,   which the Son of Man   will give you, because God the Father   has set his seal of approval on him.’


‘Be strong and courageous,  for you will distribute the land I swore to their ancestors to give them as an inheritance.


Joshua was now old, advanced in age,  and the Lord said to him, ‘You have become old, advanced in age, but a great deal of the land remains to be possessed.


but seven tribes among the Israelites were left who had not divided up their inheritance.


Appoint for yourselves three men from each tribe, and I will send them out. They are to go and survey the land, write a description of it for the purpose of their inheritance, and return to me.


They answered, ‘Come on, let’s attack them, for we have seen the land, and it is very good. Why wait? Don’t hesitate to go and invade and take possession of the land!
