Then the king said to his soldiers, ‘You must know that a great leader has fallen in Israel today.


He deprives trusted advisers of speech and takes away the elders’ good judgement.


Therefore I say, ‘Listen to me. I too will declare what I know.’


I thought that age should speak and maturity should teach wisdom.


Are their tent cords not pulled up? They die without wisdom.


Better is a poor but wise youth than an old but foolish king who no longer pays attention to warnings.


I will go to the powerful and speak to them. Surely they know the way of the  Lord, the justice of their God. However, these also had broken the yoke and torn off the chains.


At that time Jesus said,  ‘I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and revealed them to infants.
