Sing to him; sing praise to him; tell about all his wondrous works!


He will pray to God, and God will delight in him. That person will see his face  with a shout of joy, and God will restore his righteousness to him.


Look! My servants will shout for joy from a glad heart, but you will cry out from an anguished heart, and you will lament out of a broken spirit.


They drank the wine and praised their gods made of gold and silver, bronze, iron, wood, and stone.


Come, let’s return to the  Lord. For he has torn us, and he will heal us; he has wounded us, and he will bind up our wounds.


I called to the Lord in my distress, and he answered me. I cried out for help from deep inside   Sheol; you heard my voice.


As my life was fading away, I remembered the Lord, and my prayer came to you, to your holy temple.


Though all the peoples walk in the name of their own gods, we will walk  in the name of the  Lord  our God for ever and ever.


After singing a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.


Being in anguish,  he prayed more fervently, and his sweat became like drops of blood falling to the ground.


Then he said, ‘Jesus, remember me  , when you come into your kingdom.’


What then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with my understanding. I will sing praise with the spirit, and I will also sing praise with my understanding.


What then, brothers and sisters? Whenever you come together, each one  has a hymn, a teaching, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation.  Everything is to be done for building up.

During his earthly life,  he offered prayers and appeals  with loud cries and tears  to the one who was able to save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverence.


Brothers and sisters, take the prophets who spoke in the Lord’s name as an example of suffering and patience.


They sang  a new song  before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders,  but no one could learn the song except the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth.


And they cried out in a loud voice: Salvation belongs to our God, who is seated on the throne, and to the Lamb!
