Joseph gathered all the excess food in the land of Egypt during the seven years and put it in the cities. He put the food in every city from the fields around it.


Two sons were born to Joseph before the years of famine arrived.  Asenath daughter of Potiphera, priest at On, bore them to him.


His estate included seven thousand sheep and goats, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen, five hundred female donkeys,  and a very large number of servants. Job was the greatest man among all the people of the east.


Even as the stars of heaven cannot be counted, and the sand of the sea cannot be measured,  so too I will make innumerable the descendants of my servant David and the Levites who minister to me.’


For the Midianites came with their cattle and their tents like a great swarm of locusts.  They and their camels were without number, and they entered the land to lay waste to it.
