Then Leah said, ‘What good fortune! ’  and she named him Gad.


When Leah saw that she had stopped having children, she took her slave Zilpah and gave her to Jacob as a wife.


The sons of Leah’s slave Zilpah were Gad and Asher. These are the sons of Jacob, who were born to him in Paddan-aram.


Next to the territory of Zebulun, from the east side to the west, will be Gad #– #one portion.


The descendants of Gad:  according to their family records by their clans and their ancestral families, counting the names of those twenty years old or more, everyone who could serve in the army,
