When they reached Ephesus  he left them there, but he himself entered the synagogue and debated with the Jews.


‘God has raised  this Jesus; we are all witnesses of this.


I found out that the accusations were concerning questions of their law,  and that there was no charge that merited death or imprisonment.


The accusers stood up but brought no charge against him of the evils I was expecting.


When he arrived, the Jews who had come down from Jerusalem stood around him and brought many serious charges that they were not able to prove.


especially since you are very knowledgeable about all the Jewish customs and controversies. Therefore I beg you to listen to me patiently.


and the Living One.   I was dead, but look #– #I am alive for ever and ever,   and I hold the keys   of death and Hades.
