But Judah said to him, ‘The man specifically warned us, “You will not see me again unless your brother is with you.”
Then you said to your servants, “If your younger brother does not come down with you, you will not see me again.”
We told him, “We cannot go down unless our younger brother goes with us. If our younger brother isn’t with us, we cannot see the man.”
Abner sent messengers as his representatives to say to David, ‘Whose land is it? Make your covenant with me, and you can be certain I am on your side to turn all Israel over to you.’
As the ark of the covenant of the Lord was entering the city of David, Saul’s daughter Michal looked down from the window and saw King David leaping and dancing, and she despised him in her heart.
