Some time passed. David’s son Absalom  had a beautiful sister named Tamar,  and David’s son Amnon  was infatuated with her.

Jacob loved Rachel, so he answered Laban, ‘I’ll work for you seven years for your younger daughter Rachel.’


So Jacob worked seven years for Rachel, and they seemed like only a few days to him because of his love for her.


He became infatuated with Jacob’s daughter Dinah. He loved the young girl and spoke tenderly to her.


the sons of God  saw that the daughters of mankind were beautiful, and they took any they chose as wives for themselves.


One evening David got up from his bed and strolled around on the roof of the palace. From the roof he saw a woman bathing #– #a very beautiful woman.


So Amnon hated Tamar with such intensity that the hatred he hated her with was greater than the love he had loved her with. ‘Get out of here! ’ he said.


Amnon was frustrated to the point of making himself ill over his sister Tamar because she was a virgin, but it seemed impossible to do anything to her.


Three sons were born to Absalom, and a daughter named Tamar, who was a beautiful woman.


King Solomon loved many foreign women in addition to Pharaoh’s daughter:  Moabite, Ammonite, Edomite, Sidonian, and Hittite women


Absalom son of Maacah, daughter of King Talmai of Geshur, was third; Adonijah son of Haggith was fourth;


These were all David’s sons, with their sister Tamar,  in addition to the sons by his concubines.


Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the  Lord will be praised.


Don’t lust in your heart for her beauty or let her captivate you with her eyelashes.
