Doesn’t disaster come to the unjust and misfortune to evildoers?


A man may father a hundred children and live for many years. No matter how long he lives,  if he is not satisfied by good things and does not even have a proper burial,  I say that a stillborn child is better off than he.


He will be buried like a donkey, dragged off and thrown outside Jerusalem’s gates.


Therefore, this is what the Lord says concerning King Jehoiakim of Judah: He will have no one to sit on David’s throne,  and his corpse will be thrown out to be exposed to the heat of day and the frost of night.


At once an angel of the Lord  struck him because he did not give the glory to God, and he was eaten by worms and died.
