But they will do all these things to you on account of my name, because they don’t know the one who sent me.
Then they went out from the presence of the Sanhedrin, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to be treated shamefully on behalf of the Name. ,
And not only that, but we also boast in our afflictions, because we know that affliction produces endurance,
We are fools for Christ, but you are wise in Christ! We are weak, but you are strong! You are distinguished, but we are dishonoured!
He comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any kind of affliction, through the comfort we ourselves receive from God.
For it is not the one commending himself who is approved, but the one the Lord commends.
But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is perfected in weakness.’ Therefore, I will most gladly boast all the more about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may reside in me.
For he was crucified in weakness, but he lives by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but in dealing with you we will live with him by God’s power.
We rejoice when we are weak and you are strong. We also pray that you become fully mature.
For our momentary light affliction is producing for us an absolutely incomparable eternal weight of glory.
For we are not proclaiming ourselves but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’s sake.
And he died for all so that those who live should no longer live for themselves, but for the one who died for them and was raised.
Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, since God is making his appeal through us. We plead on Christ’s behalf, ‘Be reconciled to God.’
Instead, as God’s ministers, we commend ourselves in everything: by great endurance, by afflictions, by hardships, by difficulties,

For it has been granted to you on Christ’s behalf not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him,
Now I rejoice in my sufferings for you, and I am completing in my flesh what is lacking in Christ’s afflictions for his body, that is, the church.
Therefore, we ourselves boast about you among God’s churches #– #about your perseverance and faith in all the persecutions and afflictions that you are enduring.

Consider it a great joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you experience various trials,
I know that you have persevered and endured hardships for the sake of my name, and you have not grown weary.
