Behold, the puffed up one— his soul is not right within him, But the righteous will live by his trust.


It is clear that no one is set right before God by Torah, for “the righteous shall live by emunah.”


But My righteous one shall live by emunah; and if he shrinks back, My soul takes no pleasure in him.”

What shall we say then? That Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, attained righteousness—that is, a righteousness of faith.

So what if some did not trust? Will their lack of faith nullify God’s faithfulness?
