Those whom I love, I rebuke and discipline. Therefore, be zealous and repent.

Now to the One who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you blameless before the presence of His glory with great joy,


But remember the former days when, after you were enlightened, you endured a great struggle with sufferings.


“Like grapes in the wilderness I found Israel. Like early fruit on a fig tree in its first season I saw your fathers. They came to Baal-peor and devoted themselves to shame. So they became as detestable as the thing they loved.


People were scorched with fierce heat, and they cursed the name of God—the One who has power over these plagues. But they did not repent, to give Him glory.


“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.


Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a basket. Instead, they put it on a lampstand so it gives light to all in the house.


so that you might be blameless and innocent, children of God in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation. Among them you shine as lights in the world,


Since you already know all this, loved ones, be on your guard so that you are not led astray by the error of the lawless and lose your sure footing.
