They say: “With our tongue we’ll prevail. We own our lips—who can master us?”


Adonai executes justice— judgments for all who are oppressed.


All my bones will say: “Adonai, who is like You, rescuing the poor from one too strong for him, the poor and needy from one who robs him?”


The wicked will turn to Sheol, as will all the nations that forget God.


With praise and thanksgiving they sang to Adonai, “For He is good; For His mercy upon Israel endures forever.” Then all the people gave a great shout of praise to Adonai because the foundation of the House of Adonai had been laid.


the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voice of them who say: ‘Give thanks to Adonai-Tzva’ot, for Adonai is good, for His love endures forever!’ as they bring offerings of thanksgiving into the House of Adonai. Israel has been saved by Adonai with an everlasting salvation. You will not be put to shame or disgraced, for ever and ever.


For I am afflicted and needy, and my heart is wounded within me.
