who devise evil in their heart— every day they stir up wars.


But no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.


If the snake bites before it is charmed, there is no profit for the charmer.


Their throat is an open grave; with their tongues they keep deceiving. The poison of vipers is under their lips.


O snakes, you brood of vipers! How will you escape the condemnation of Gehenna?
