For the eyes of Adonai are on the righteous and His ears open to their prayer, but the face of Adonai is against those who do evil.”


Adonai delights in those who revere Him, in those who trust in His lovingkindness.


He does not take His eyes from the righteous, but enthrones them with kings and exalts them forever.


So by two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to take hold of the hope set before us.


Then the righteous will see and fear, and laugh at him:


Or else my enemy will say: “I have overcome him!” and my foes will rejoice because I am shaken.


The ravens kept bringing him bread and meat in the morning and bread and meat in the evening, and he drank from the wadi.

He gives food to those who fear Him. He remembers His covenant forever.


Then Zedekiah the king gave a command, and they committed Jeremiah into the courtyard of the guard. They gave him a loaf of bread from the bakers’ street daily, until all the bread in the city was spent. So Jeremiah stayed in the guard’s courtyard.
