Adonai, in Your favor You made my mountain stand strong. When You hid Your face, I was terrified.


A psalm of David. Adonai, I call to You— come quickly to me! Hear my voice when I call to You.


Jabez called out to the God of Israel, saying, “If only You would greatly bless me, and enlarge my territory. Let Your hand be with me and keep me from harm so that I might not suffer pain.” Adonai granted what he asked.

Of David, a contemplative song. Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is pardoned.


Hear the sound of my pleas, when I cry to You for help, when I lift up my hands toward Your holy Sanctuary.


When he came across the sheepfolds along the way where there was a cave, Saul went in to relieve himself. Now David and his men were already sitting in the innermost parts of the cave.


The world was not worthy of them! They wandered around in deserts and mountains, caves and holes in the ground.


So David’s men said to him, “Look, it’s the day Adonai spoke to you about, ‘Behold, I will deliver your enemy into your hand, so you may do to him as seems good in your eyes.’” Then David crept and cut off the corner of Saul’s robe stealthily.
