A Song of Ascents. I will lift up my eyes to the mountains— from where does my help come?


For my eyes are toward You, God my Lord. In You I have taken refuge— do not expose my soul.


My eyes are always looking to Adonai, for He will pull my feet out of the net.


He who sits in heaven laughs! Adonai mocks them.


“But the tax collector, standing some distance away, wouldn’t even lift his eyes toward heaven, but beat his chest, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, the sinner!’


Adonai is in His holy Temple. Adonai’s throne is in heaven. His eyes are watching. His eyelids observe the children of men.


“Therefore, pray in this way: ‘Our Father in heaven, sanctified be Your name.


A Song of Ascents. Adonai, remember David, all his afflictions,


A Song of Ascents. In my trouble I cried out to Adonai, and He answered me.


For thus says the High and Exalted One who inhabits eternity, whose Name is Holy: “I dwell in a high and holy place, yet also with a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and revive the heart of the contrite.


A Song of Ascents. Out of the depths I cry to You, Adonai!


A Song of Ascents. When Adonai restored the captives of Zion, it was as if we were dreaming.


A Song of Ascents. Those who trust in Adonai are like Mount Zion— it cannot be moved, but endures forever.


Our God is in the heavens— He does whatever pleases Him!


A Song of Ascents. Of Solomon. Unless Adonai builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless Adonai watches over the city, the watchman stands guard in vain.


Thus says Adonai: “Heaven is My throne, and the earth is My footstool. Where then is the House you would build for Me? Where is the place of My rest?


A Song of Ascents. Behold, bless Adonai, all servants of Adonai, who stand by night in the House of Adonai.


A Song of Ascents. Of David. Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity!

“So listen to the supplication of Your servant and of Your people Israel, when they pray toward this place. Hear in heaven Your dwelling place, and when You hear, forgive!
