You brood of vipers! How can you who are evil say anything good? For from the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks.


And the tongue is a fire. The tongue is a world of evil placed among our body parts. It pollutes the whole body and sets on fire the course of life—and is set on fire by Gehenna.


Let no harmful word come out of your mouth, but only what is beneficial for building others up according to the need, so that it gives grace to those who hear it.


He told them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the Good News to every creature.


What I tell you in the darkness, speak in the light; and what you hear in your ear, proclaim from the housetops!


Your lips, my bride, drip honey from the honeycomb. Honey and milk are under your tongue. The scent of your garments is like the aroma of Lebanon.


With my lips I rehearse all the rulings of Your mouth.


My heart is stirred with a good word. I speak my verses to the king. My tongue is the pen of a skillful writer.


The mouth of the righteous utters wisdom and his tongue speaks justice.


And what you have heard from me among many witnesses, entrust to faithful people who will be capable to teach others also.


The tongue of the wise treats knowledge correctly, but the mouth of fools spouts folly.


The house of the righteous has great wealth, but the income of the wicked brings trouble.


The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to Adonai, but the prayer of the upright pleases him.


that you may maintain discretion and your lips may preserve knowledge.


A wise man’s heart teaches his mouth and adds persuasiveness to his lips.


The heart of the wise is to his right, and the heart of the fool is to his left.
