So if I do come, I will call attention to what he is doing—slandering us with wicked words. Not even content with that, he refuses to welcome the brethren, and even forbids those who want to do so— throwing them out of the community!


The wise in heart accept commands, but a babbling fool comes to ruin.


Death and life are in the control of the tongue. Those who indulge in it will eat its fruit.


Why has your heart carried you away and why do your eyes flash,


Wise men store up knowledge, but the mouth of a fool is near ruin.


One who winks his eyes schemes deceit, one who purses his lips is bent on evil.
