I will open my mouth with a parable. I will utter perplexing sayings from of old,


And He told them, “To you has been given the secret of the kingdom of God. But for those who are outside, everything is in parables, so that


But solid food is for the mature, who through practice have their senses trained to discern both good and evil.


My mouth speaks wisdom, My heart’s meditation is understanding.


But apart from a parable, He wasn’t speaking to them. Yet when they were alone, to His own disciples He would explain everything.


The words of the wise are like goads, their collective sayings are like firmly affixed nails. They have been given by one Shepherd.


I speak with him face to face, plainly and not in riddles. He even looks at the form of Adonai! Why then were you not afraid to speak against My servant Moses?”


He speaks about these matters in all of his letters. Some things in them are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist (as they also do with the rest of the Scriptures)—to their own destruction.


These sayings are also from the wise: Partiality in judgment is not good.


“‘Now toward the end of their reign, when the measure of transgressions is completed, a stern-faced king, a master of intrigue, will arise.
