The name of the executed Midianite woman was Cozbi, daughter of Zur—he was a tribal head of an ancestral house in Midian.


“Deal with the Midianites as enemies and strike them.


After the plague, Adonai said to Moses and Eleazar son of Aaron the kohen saying,


Setting out from Midian they came to Paran and took men from Paran along with them, and went to Egypt—to Pharaoh king of Egypt—who gave him a house, allotted him food and gave him land.
