2 “This is the statute of the Torah which Adonai commanded saying: Speak to Bnei-Yisrael that they bring to you a flawless red heifer on which there is no blemish and on which has never been a yoke.

Your lamb is to be without blemish, a year old male. You may take it from the sheep or from the goats.


Adonai spoke to Moses and Aaron saying,


“If his sacrifice is a burnt offering from the herd, he is to present a male without blemish. He is to offer it at the entrance of the Tent of Meeting, so that he may be accepted before Adonai.


“If his sacrifice is from the flock, from the sheep or from the goats, for a burnt offering, he shall bring a male without blemish.
