So whenever you do tzadakah, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, so that they may be glorified by men. Amen, I tell you, they have their reward in full!


“But the tax collector, standing some distance away, wouldn’t even lift his eyes toward heaven, but beat his chest, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, the sinner!’


Whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your transgressions.”


“Then you will call on Me, and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.


When you spread out your hands, I will hide My eyes from you. When you multiply prayers, I will not hear. Your hands are full of blood!”


They devour widows’ houses and make long prayers as a show. These men will receive greater condemnation!”


But He gives greater grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”


Then Yeshua told them a parable to show that they should always pray and not be discouraged,


Thereupon King Darius issued the written decree.


Pray in the Ruach on every occasion, with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, keep alert with perseverance and supplication for all the kedoshim.


Woe to you Pharisees, for you love the best seats in the synagogues and the greetings in the marketplaces.


And whatever you ask in prayer, trusting, you shall receive.”


As for me, I will call on God, and Adonai will save me.


Hear my words, Adonai, consider my groaning.


Up to now, you have not asked for anything in My name. Ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be full.


In His teaching He said, “Watch out for the Torah scholars, who like to walk around in long robes. They like greetings in the marketplaces,


Therefore pray to the Lord of the harvest that He may send out workers into His harvest field.”


“But woe to you, Torah scholars and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut people out of the kingdom of heaven. For you do not enter yourselves, nor do you let those enter who are trying to go in.


Adonai abhors all the proud in heart. Be assured, they will not go unpunished.


They love the place of honor at feasts, the best seats in the synagogues,


The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to Adonai, but the prayer of the upright pleases him.


“And whenever you fast, do not become sad-faced like the hypocrites, for they neglect their faces to make their fasting evident to men. Amen, I tell you, they have their reward in full!


“Beware of practicing your righteousness before others to be seen by them; otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven.


All their works they do to be noticed by men. They make their tefillin wide and their tzitziyot long.


But woe to you who are rich, for you are receiving your comfort in full.
