For you need perseverance so that, after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise.


“Out of the good treasure of his heart the good man brings forth good, and out of evil the evil man brings forth evil. For from the overflow of the heart his mouth speaks.”


Now we know that we have come to know Him by this—if we keep His commandments.


to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and growing in the knowledge of God.

But He said, “Rather, blessed are those who hear the word of God and obey it.”

Therefore, my brothers and sisters, you also were made dead to the Torah through the body of Messiah, so that you might be joined to another—the One who was raised from the dead—in order that we might bear fruit for God.


But now, having been set free from sin and having become enslaved to God, you have your fruit resulting in holiness. And the outcome is eternal life.


If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.


But the one who endures to the end will be saved.


Also Adonai your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your descendants—to love Adonai your God with all your heart and with all your soul, in order that you may live.


For this reason it is necessary for us to pay especially close attention to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away.


For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not from yourselves—it is the gift of God.


Circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing—but keeping God’s commandments matters.


For I know that nothing good dwells in me—that is, in my flesh. For to will is present in me, but to do the good is not.


To those who by perseverance in doing good are seeking glory, honor, and immortality—eternal life.


No longer will each teach his neighbor or each his brother, saying: ‘Know Adonai,’ for they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest.” it is a declaration of Adonai. “For I will forgive their iniquity, their sin I will remember no more.”


And let endurance have its perfect work, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.


Then the Chaldeans fighting against this city will come and set this city on fire and burn it, with the houses—where they burned incense to Baal on their roofs and poured out drink-offerings to other gods, to provoke Me.


Your words were found, so I ate them. Your words were a delight to me and the joy of my heart. For I am called by Your Name, Adonai-Elohei-Tzva’ot.


My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my mitzvot.


I have treasured Your word in my heart, so I might not sin against You.


Let me hear joy and gladness, so the bones You crushed may rejoice.


Now that which fell into the thorns are those who were hearing; but as they go along the way, they are choked by the cares and riches and pleasures of life, and they do not bear mature fruit.


“Now no one after lighting a lamp covers it with some object or places it under a bed. But he puts it on a lampstand so that all those who enter may be able to see the light.


But if we hope for what we do not see, then we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.
