My brothers and sisters, can a fig tree produce olives, or a vine produce figs? Neither can salt water produce fresh water.


“Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree rotten and its fruit rotten; for the tree is known by its fruit.


These people are hidden rocky reefs at your love feasts—shamelessly feasting with you, tending only to themselves. They are waterless clouds, carried along by winds; fruitless trees in late autumn, doubly dead, uprooted;


You will recognize them by their fruit. Grapes aren’t gathered from thorn bushes or figs from thistles, are they?


So then, you will recognize them by their fruit.
