“After everything that has happened to us because of our evil deeds and our great guilt—for You, our God, have punished us less than our iniquities deserve, and given us a remnant such as this—


but with precious blood like that of a lamb without defect or spot, the blood of Messiah.


When Pilate saw he was accomplishing nothing, but instead a riot was starting, he took some water and washed his hands in front of the crowd. “I am innocent of this blood,” he said. “You see to it yourselves!”


saying, “I’ve sinned, betraying innocent blood!” But they said, “What’s that to us? You see to it yourself!”


Therefore submit to God. But resist the devil and he will flee from you.


Now the centurion, and those with him keeping guard over Yeshua, when they saw the earthquake and what was happening, they became terribly frightened and said, “This really was the Son of God!”


While Pilate was sitting on the judgment seat, his wife sent him a message, saying, “Don’t have anything to do with that righteous Man, for today I’ve suffered many things in a dream because of Him.”


“I prayed to Adonai my God and confessed, saying: ‘O Lord, the great and awesome God, who keeps covenant and mercy with those who love Him and keep His mitzvot,


They stood in their place and read in the scroll of the Torah of Adonai their God for a quarter of the day; and for another quarter they were confessing and prostrating themselves before Adonai their God.


In his distress, he entreated Adonai his God and greatly humbled himself before the God of his fathers.


But the other one, rebuking him, replied, “Don’t you fear God, since you are under the same sentence?


And he said, “Yeshua, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.”


You are witnesses, along with God, of how devoutly and righteously and blamelessly we behaved toward you who believe.


When He was abused, He did not return the abuse. While suffering, He made no threats. Instead, He kept entrusting Himself to the One who judges righteously.
