Blessed be Adonai, for He has shown me His wonderful love in a besieged city.


You destroy those who speak falsehood. A person of bloodshed and deceit Adonai detests.


Behold, it was for my own shalom that I had great bitterness. You have loved my soul out of the Pit of destruction! For You have flung all my sins behind Your back.


“and they return to You with all their heart and soul in the land of their captivity where they were taken captive, and they pray toward their land which You gave to their fathers and the city which You have chosen and toward the House which I have built for Your Name,


Thereupon King Darius issued the written decree.

Then said Adonai to me: “Even if Moses and Samuel stood before Me, My soul could not be toward this people. Cast them out of My presence, and let them go out!”


But Zion said: “Adonai has forsaken me, Adonai has forgotten me.”


then will I cut off Israel from the land which I have given them, and this House which I have consecrated for My Name, I will cast out of My sight. So Israel will become a proverb and a byword among all peoples.


and they return to You with all their heart and with all their soul in the land of their enemies who carried them into exile, and pray to You toward their land that You gave to their fathers, the city that You have chosen and the House which I have built for Your Name,


for they will hear of Your great Name, of Your mighty hand and Your outstretched arm—when he comes to pray toward this House,


To the bottoms of the mountains I went down. The earth with her bars was around me, forever! Yet You brought my life up from the Pit, Adonai my God.


Deep calls to deep in the roar of Your waterfalls. All Your waves and breakers have swept over me.


abandoned among the dead, like the slain that lie in the grave, whom You remember no more— cut off from Your hand.


You have laid me in the lowest places, in dark places, in the depths.


Waters flowed over my head. I said, “I have been cut off!”
