But if it produces thorns and thistles, it is worthless and near to being cursed—its end is to be burned over.


So the light of Israel will become a fire, and its Holy One a flame. He will burn and consume its thorns and briers in one day.

He will not always accuse, nor will He keep His anger forever.


Then peoples will be burned as lime, like thorns cut down, burned in the fire.


But the man who touches them must be armed with iron and the shaft of a spear. They must be completely burned up with fire on the spot.”


For I know the plans that I have in mind for you,” declares Adonai, “plans for shalom and not calamity—to give you a future and a hope.
