So Jacob worked for Rachel seven years, yet in his eyes it was like a few days, because of his love for her.


Then Isaac brought her into the tent of Sarah his mother, took Rebekah and she became his wife—and he loved her. So Isaac was comforted after the loss of his mother.


Laban said, “It’s better that I give her to you than I give her to another man! Stay with me.”


Give me my wives and my children for whom I’ve served you, and let me go. For you yourself know my labor—that I’ve served you.”
