God blessed Noah and his sons, and He said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the land.


But as for you, be fruitful and multiply! Flourish in the land and multiply in it.”


“I will turn toward you, make you fruitful and multiply you, and I will confirm My covenant with you.


Then God blessed them by saying, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the water in the seas. Let the flying creatures multiply on the land.”


For thus says Adonai— He is God who fashioned the heavens, who formed the earth and made it, He established it and did not create it desolate but formed it to be inhabited— “I am Adonai—there is no other!”


As for Ishmael, I have heard you. See, I have blessed him and I will make him fruitful, and I will multiply him very very much. He will father twelve princes and I will make him a great nation.


Every animal that is with you of all flesh, including the flying creatures, livestock and every crawling creature that crawls on the land, bring out with you, and let them swarm in the land and be fruitful and multiply upon the land.”


He blesses them, they multiply greatly, and He does not let their herds diminish,


Jabez called out to the God of Israel, saying, “If only You would greatly bless me, and enlarge my territory. Let Your hand be with me and keep me from harm so that I might not suffer pain.” Adonai granted what he asked.


Adonai appeared to him that night and said, “I am the God of your father Abraham. Do not be afraid, for I am with you, and I will bless you and multiply your seed for the sake of Abraham my servant.”


And I will bless her, and moreover, I will give you a son from her. I will bless her and she will give rise to nations. Kings of the peoples will come from her.”


from the God of your father who helps you, and Shaddai who blesses you, with blessings of heavens above, blessings of the deep that lies below, blessings of breasts and womb.

They forbid people to marry; they command people to abstain from foods that God created for the faithful to share with thanksgiving, having come to know the truth.


Male and female He created them, and He blessed them and called their name “Adam” when He created them.


Yet You made him a little lower than the angels, and crowned him with glory and majesty!


Now when humankind began to multiply on the face of the ground and daughters were born to them,


Will you rely on it for its great strength? Will you leave your labor to it?


You gave him dominion over the works of Your hands. You put all things under their feet:


The heavens are the heavens of Adonai, but the earth He gave to the children of men.
