‘I have made the earth, mankind and beast which are on the face of the earth, by My great power and by My outstretched arm—and I give it to whom it seems right to Me.


By His Ruach the heavens are clear; His hand pierced the fleeing serpent.


for it is sanctified through the word of God and prayer.


All flesh perished—those that crawl on the land, the flying creatures, livestock, wild animals, all creatures that swarm upon the land, and all humankind.


Everything that had the breath of the spirit of life in its nostrils—everything on dry land—died.


But now ask the animals and they will teach you, or the birds of the sky and they will tell you,


Smoke pours from his nostrils, as a boiling pot over burning reeds.
