Fathers, do not provoke your children, so they will not become discouraged.


Train up a child in the way he should go, when he is old he will not turn from it.


A rod and reproof give wisdom, but a child left to himself disgraces his mother.


Discipline your son while there is hope. Do not set your heart on his death.


You are to teach them diligently to your children, and speak of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down and when you rise up.


Correct your son and he will give you rest. He will bring delight to your soul.

As for my son Solomon, give him a whole heart to keep Your mitzvot, Your decrees and Your statutes, and to fulfill them all and to build the Temple for which I have made provision.”


“so that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth.”


Then Manoah said, “Now may your words come about! What will be the child’s rule and his mission?”
