“For I am about to send serpents on you, vipers for which there is no charm, and they will bite you.” It is a declaration of Adonai.


And the tongue is a fire. The tongue is a world of evil placed among our body parts. It pollutes the whole body and sets on fire the course of life—and is set on fire by Gehenna.


Death and life are in the control of the tongue. Those who indulge in it will eat its fruit.


Hide me from the conspiracy of evildoers, from the tumult of workers of iniquity,

But no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.
