Daniel 6:24 - Tree of Life Version

24 Then the king was overjoyed, and ordered Daniel taken up out of the den. So Daniel was lifted out of the pit. No injury of any kind was found on him because he had trusted in his God.

I stilled my soul till morning. Like a lion, He will break all my bones. From day till night You make my end.


So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then the king’s rage subsided.


For strangers have risen up against me. Violent men seek after my soul. They do not set God before them. Selah


But when it came to the king’s attention, he issued a written edict that the wicked scheme Haman had devised against the Jews should come back on his own head, and that he and his sons should be hanged on the gallows. (


However, he did not execute the children of the assassins, keeping what is written in the Torah of Moses, where Adonai commanded saying, “The fathers will not be put to death for the children, nor the children be put to death for the fathers; but each one will be put to death for his own sin.”


“Fathers are not to be put to death for children, and children are not to be put to death for fathers—each one is to be put to death for his own sin.


The righteous is rescued from trouble. Instead it comes on the wicked.


the 10 sons of Haman, the son of Hammedatha, the enemy of the Jews. They slew them but did not lay their hands on the plunder.


But because the king’s order was so urgent and the furnace so extremely hot, a raging flame killed those men who carried up Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego.


A false witness will not go unpunished, and one who breathes lies will perish.


Therefore thus says Adonai: “You have not obeyed Me, to proclaim liberty, everyone to his brother and everyone to his neighbor. Behold, I proclaim for you a liberty,” declares Adonai, “to the sword, to plague and to famine! So I will make you a horror to all the kingdoms of the earth.
