As you can verify, it is no more than twelve days since I went up to Jerusalem to worship.


But the kohen gadol Ananias ordered those standing by him to strike him on the mouth.


There the ruling kohanim and the leading Judeans brought charges against Paul. They were urging him,


he said, “I will give you a hearing when your accusers have arrived also.” Then he gave orders for Paul to be guarded in Herod’s Praetorium.


When I was informed that there was a plot against the man, I sent him to you immediately, also ordering his accusers to state before you what they have against him.”


Also provide mounts for Paul to ride, so that he might be brought safely to Felix the governor.”


When the seven days were about to be completed, the Jewish leaders from Asia saw Paul in the Temple and began stirring up the whole crowd. They grabbed him,


For look, the wicked bend the bow. They fix their arrow on the bowstring so they can shoot from the shadows at those who are upright in heart.


My speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power—


When I came to you, brothers and sisters, I did not come with excellence of speech or wisdom, proclaiming to you the mystery of God.


When I was in Jerusalem, the ruling kohanim and elders of the Judeans brought charges against him, asking for a judgment against him.


On an appointed day, Herod donned his royal robes and, taking his seat upon the throne, began to make a speech to them.

When Paul was called in, Tertullus began to accuse him, saying, “We are enjoying much peace through you, and reforms are introduced for this nation because of your foresight.
