All these were sons of David, besides his sons by the concubines. Tamar was their sister.

To Absalom were born three sons and one daughter, whose name was Tamar—she was a beautiful woman.

So Jacob worked for Rachel seven years, yet in his eyes it was like a few days, because of his love for her.


Jacob was in love with Rachel, so he said, “Let me serve you for seven years for Rachel your younger daughter.”


then the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were good and they took for themselves wives, any they chose.


But Amnon was so frustrated that he fell sick because of his sister Tamar, for she was a virgin and it seemed impossible in Amnon to do anything to her.
