Then Joseph dreamed a dream and told his brothers—and they hated him even more.


Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his other sons because he was the son of his old age. So he had made him a long-sleeved tunic.


Then He said, “Take your son, your only son whom you love —Isaac—and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains about which I will tell you.”


Then he said to his father, “My head, my head!” So he said to his servant, “Carry him to his mother.”


She then went up and laid him on the bed of the man of God, shut the door on him and went out.
