2 Corinthians 7:12 - Tree of Life Version

12 So although I wrote to you, I wrote not for the sake of the wrongdoer or for the sake of the one who was wronged, but to make known to you your diligence for us in the sight of God.

For to this end I also wrote, that I might know your character, whether you are obedient in all things.


(But if someone does not know how to manage his own household, how will he care for God’s community?)


Besides these other things, there is daily pressure on me of concern for all of Messiah’s communities.


Why? Because I do not love you? God knows I do!


For even if I grieved you with my letter, I do not regret it—though I did regret it, for I see that my letter grieved you, but just for a while.


For we are not like many, peddling the word of God. Rather, in Messiah we speak in the sight of God with sincerity, as persons sent from God.
