If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar. For the one who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen.


But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness and walks in the darkness. He doesn’t know where he is going, because the darkness has made his eyes blind.


They know nothing; they understand nothing— they walk about in darkness. All of earth’s foundations are shaken.


But anyone who lacks these qualities is blind—nearsighted because he has forgotten his cleansing from past sins.


The one who says, “I have come to know Him,” and does not keep His commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him.


If we say we have fellowship with Him and keep walking in the darkness, we are lying and do not practice the truth.


Yeshua said to them, “If you were blind, you would have no sin. But now you say, ‘We see.’ So your sin remains.”


“You are not to hate your brother in your heart. Instead, you are to firmly rebuke your neighbor, and not bear sin because of him.


Absalom did not say a word to Amnon, either good or bad, for Absalom hated Amnon because he had raped his sister Tamar.


In those days, Peter stood up among the brothers and sisters (the number of names all together was about a hundred and twenty) and said,


It is clear who are the children of God and who are the children of the devil by this—anyone who does not act righteously or love his brother is not of God.
