One day one of the local officials asked him, “Good Teacher, what must I do to deserve eternal life?”


As he went out into the street, a man came running up, greeted him with great reverence, and asked, “Good Teacher, what must I do to get eternal life?”


One of the religion scholars came up. Hearing the lively exchanges of question and answer and seeing how sharp Jesus was in his answers, he put in his question: “Which is most important of all the commandments?”


He answered, “What’s written in God’s Law? How do you interpret it?”


Jesus said, “What did Moses command?”
