A fruitful land into a salt desert, For the wickedness of them that dwell therein.


For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, a salt land and not inhabited.


a wild ass used to the wilderness, that snuffeth up the wind in her desire; in her occasion who can turn her away? all they that seek her will not weary themselves; in her month they shall find her.


Behold, as wild asses in the desert They go forth to their work, seeking diligently for meat; The wilderness yieldeth them food for their children.


and that the whole land thereof is brimstone, and salt, and a burning, that it is not sown, nor beareth, nor any grass groweth therein, like the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboiim, which the LORD overthrew in his anger, and in his wrath:


For they are gone up to Assyria, like a wild ass alone by himself: Ephraim hath hired lovers.


But the miry places thereof, and the marishes thereof, shall not be healed; they shall be given up to salt.


He scorneth the tumult of the city, Neither heareth he the shoutings of the driver.


And the wild asses stand on the bare heights, they pant for air like jackals; their eyes fail, because there is no herbage.
