Send ye the lambs for the ruler of the land from Sela which is toward the wilderness, unto the mount of the daughter of Zion.


And they shall fly down upon the shoulder of the Philistines on the west; together shall they spoil the children of the east: they shall put forth their hand upon Edom and Moab; and the children of Ammon shall obey them.


Moab is my washpot; Upon Edom will I cast my shoe: Philistia, shout thou because of me.


And they brought every man his present, vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and raiment, and armour, and spices, horses, and mules, a rate year by year.


And she came to Jerusalem with a very great train, with camels that bare spices, and very much gold, and precious stones: and when she was come to Solomon, she communed with him of all that was in her heart.


And he smote Moab, and measured them with the line, making them to lie down on the ground; and he measured two lines to put to death, and one full fine to keep alive. And the Moabites became servants to David, and brought presents.


But certain sons of Belial said, How shall this man save us? And they despised him, and brought him no present. But he held his peace.


I see him, but not now: I behold him, but not nigh: There shall come forth a star out of Jacob, And a sceptre shall rise out of Israel, And shall smite through the corners of Moab, And break down all the sons of tumult.


And after this it came to pass, that David smote the Philistines, and subdued them, and took Gath and her towns out of the hand of the Philistines.


And David smote Hadarezer king of Zobah unto Hamath, as he went to stablish his dominion by the river Euphrates.
