Be sober, be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking some one to devour.


for you are still of the flesh. For while there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not of the flesh, and behaving like ordinary men?


And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death.


Of his own will he brought us forth by the word of truth that we should be a kind of first fruits of his creatures.


And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.


Sanctify them in the truth; thy word is truth.

if I have concealed my transgressions from men, by hiding my iniquity in my bosom,


how much less one who is abominable and corrupt, a man who drinks iniquity like water!


Now the earth was corrupt in God's sight, and the earth was filled with violence.


The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.


But David said to Abishai, “Do not destroy him; for who can put forth his hand against the Lord's anointed, and be guiltless?”


The Lord forbid that I should put forth my hand against the Lord's anointed; but take now the spear that is at his head, and the jar of water, and let us go.”
