Numbers 30:2 - Revised Standard Version

2 When a man vows a vow to the Lord, or swears an oath to bind himself by a pledge, he shall not break his word; he shall do according to all that proceeds out of his mouth.

Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving, and pay your vows to the Most High;


I will pay my vows to the Lord in the presence of all his people.


You will make your prayer to him, and he will hear you; and you will pay your vows.


When it was day, the Jews made a plot and bound themselves by an oath neither to eat nor drink till they had killed Paul.

It is a snare for a man to say rashly, “It is holy,” and to reflect only after making his vows.
