So he went in and shut the door upon the two of them, and prayed to the Lord.


And after he had dismissed the crowds, he went up on the mountain by himself to pray. When evening came, he was there alone,


Before they call I will answer, while they are yet speaking I will hear.


But Peter put them all outside and knelt down and prayed; then turning to the body he said, “Tabitha, rise.” And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter she sat up.


Come, my people, enter your chambers, and shut your doors behind you; hide yourselves for a little while until the wrath is past.


The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous, and his ears toward their cry.

for you will heap coals of fire on his head, and the Lord will reward you.
