He has walled up my way, so that I cannot pass, and he has set darkness upon my paths.


He has walled me about so that I cannot escape; he has put heavy chains on me;


Why do you say, O Jacob, and speak, O Israel, “My way is hid from the Lord, and my right is disregarded by my God”?


Therefore I will hedge up her way with thorns; and I will build a wall against her, so that she cannot find her paths.


he has blocked my ways with hewn stones, he has made my paths crooked.


Thou hast caused my companions to shun me; thou hast made me a thing of horror to them. I am shut in so that I cannot escape;


and hast not delivered me into the hand of the enemy; thou hast set my feet in a broad place.


His troops come on together; they have cast up siegeworks against me, and encamp round about my tent.


If he tears down, none can rebuild; if he shuts a man in, none can open.


know then that God has put me in the wrong, and closed his net about me.


who rejoice exceedingly, and are glad, when they find the grave?


Thou puttest my feet in the stocks, and watchest all my paths; thou settest a bound to the soles of my feet.


my eye grows dim through sorrow. Every day I call upon thee, O Lord; I spread out my hands to thee.
