For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice.


Love is patient and kind; love is not jealous or boastful;


Do nothing from selfishness or conceit, but in humility count others better than yourselves.


for you are still of the flesh. For while there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not of the flesh, and behaving like ordinary men?


let us conduct ourselves becomingly as in the day, not in reveling and drunkenness, not in debauchery and licentiousness, not in quarreling and jealousy.


For I fear that perhaps I may come and find you not what I wish, and that you may find me not what you wish; that perhaps there may be quarreling, jealousy, anger, selfishness, slander, gossip, conceit, and disorder.


Some indeed preach Christ from envy and rivalry, but others from good will.


My brethren, if any one among you wanders from the truth and some one brings him back,


But the high priest rose up and all who were with him, that is, the party of the Sadducees, and filled with jealousy

but for those who are factious and do not obey the truth, but obey wickedness, there will be wrath and fury.


Wrath is cruel, anger is overwhelming; but who can stand before jealousy?


A tranquil mind gives life to the flesh, but passion makes the bones rot.


But Jehu was not careful to walk in the law of the Lord the God of Israel with all his heart; he did not turn from the sins of Jeroboam, which he made Israel to sin.


For even those who receive circumcision do not themselves keep the law, but they desire to have you circumcised that they may glory in your flesh.


Let us have no self-conceit, no provoking of one another, no envy of one another.

But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with jealousy, and contradicted what was spoken by Paul, and reviled him.


They will put you out of the synagogues; indeed, the hour is coming when whoever kills you will think he is offering service to God.


For he knew that it was out of envy that they had delivered him up.


Why dost thou make me see wrongs and look upon trouble? Destruction and violence are before me; strife and contention arise.


The jealousy of Ephraim shall depart, and those who harass Judah shall be cut off; Ephraim shall not be jealous of Judah, and Judah shall not harass Ephraim.
