Genesis 19:29 - Revised Standard Version

29 So it was that, when God destroyed the cities of the valley, God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities in which Lot dwelt.

Not because of your righteousness or the uprightness of your heart are you going in to possess their land; but because of the wickedness of these nations the Lord your God is driving them out from before you, and that he may confirm the word which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.


But God remembered Noah and all the beasts and all the cattle that were with him in the ark. And God made a wind blow over the earth, and the waters subsided;


Remember not the sins of my youth, or my trangressions; according to thy steadfast love remember me, for thy goodness' sake, O Lord!


and if he rescued righteous Lot, greatly distressed by the licentiousness of the wicked


How can I give you up, O Ephraim! How can I hand you over, O Israel! How can I make you like Admah! How can I treat you like Zeboiim! My heart recoils within me, my compassion grows warm and tender.


The Lord preserves all who love him; but all the wicked he will destroy.


It is he who remembered us in our low estate, for his steadfast love endures for ever;


Remember me, O Lord, when thou showest favor to thy people; help me when thou deliverest them;


For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham his servant.


And I commanded the Levites that they should purify themselves and come and guard the gates, to keep the sabbath day holy. Remember this also in my favor, O my God, and spare me according to the greatness of thy steadfast love.


Remember me, O my God, concerning this, and wipe not out my good deeds that I have done for the house of my God and for his service.


Then God remembered Rachel, and God hearkened to her and opened her womb.


And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you, and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing.


He is mindful of his covenant for ever, of the word that he commanded, for a thousand generations,


Now these are the descendants of Terah. Terah was the father of Abram, Nahor, and Haran; and Haran was the father of Lot.


but it is because the Lord loves you, and is keeping the oath which he swore to your fathers, that the Lord has brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you from the house of bondage, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.


Remember thy servants, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; do not regard the stubbornness of this people, or their wickedness, or their sin,


even if these three men were in it, as I live, says the Lord God, they would deliver neither sons nor daughters; they alone would be delivered, but the land would be desolate.


Your wickedness concerns a man like yourself, and your righteousness a son of man.
