We have therefore sent Judas and Silas, who themselves will tell you the same things by word of mouth.


but Paul chose Silas and departed, being commended by the brethren to the grace of the Lord.

When Silas and Timothy arrived from Macedonia, Paul was occupied with preaching, testifying to the Jews that the Christ was Jesus.


And Judas and Silas, who were themselves prophets, exhorted the brethren with many words and strengthened them.


And they put forward two, Joseph called Barsabbas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias.


Then the brethren immediately sent Paul off on his way to the sea, but Silas and Timothy remained there.


The brethren immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Beroea; and when they arrived they went into the Jewish synagogue.


And some of them were persuaded, and joined Paul and Silas; as did a great many of the devout Greeks and not a few of the leading women.


And he called for lights and rushed in, and trembling with fear he fell down before Paul and Silas,


But about midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them,


But when her owners saw that their hope of gain was gone, they seized Paul and Silas and dragged them into the market place before the rulers;


it has seemed good to us, having come to one accord, to choose men and send them to you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,


with the following letter: “The brethren, both the apostles and the elders, to the brethren who are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia, greeting.


News of this came to the ears of the church in Jerusalem, and they sent Barnabas to Antioch.


Now when the apostles at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent to them Peter and John,


The hand of God was also upon Judah to give them one heart to do what the king and the princes commanded by the word of the Lord.


and the plan seemed right to the king and all the assembly.


And all the people took notice of it, and it pleased them; as everything that the king did pleased all the people.


Now those who were scattered because of the persecution that arose over Stephen traveled as far as Phoenicia and Cyprus and Antioch, speaking the word to none except Jews.


But there were some of them, men of Cyprus and Cyrene, who on coming to Antioch spoke to the Greeks also, preaching the Lord Jesus.


Now in these days prophets came down from Jerusalem to Antioch.


So, being sent on their way by the church, they passed through both Phoenicia and Samaria, reporting the conversion of the Gentiles, and they gave great joy to all the brethren.


So when they were sent off, they went down to Antioch; and having gathered the congregation together, they delivered the letter.


For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, whom we preached among you, Silvanus and Timothy and I, was not Yes and No; but in him it is always Yes.
